Spine Injury – Workers Compensation

I have another mediation in Covington on a Longshore Workers’ Compensation case this morning. My client suffered a bad cervical spine injury in a shipyard. This injury required surgery and lots of physical therapy. She has been out of work for over a year. The shipyard’s own vocational expert opines that, given her permanent restrictions and job history, she can only make about $9 an hour now. She was making over $20 an hour before the injury. I look forward to negotiating a fair settlement that helps her get started on her new journey in life.
